Zerodha founder Nithin Kamath posted a tweet stating that they have crossed 1 crore customers. He also said that online account opening has been the biggest tipping point in the journey of Zerodha.
Founded on 15 August 2010, Zerodha is one of the largest stock brockers in India. 1+ Crore Zerodha clients contribute to over 15% of all retail order volumes in India daily by trading and investing.
It is interesting to note that Zerodha's team size has remained the same as we went from 20lakh to 1cr clients. Nitin also said that when customers are introduced by family or friends who are existing clients, they also tend to help bridge the knowledge gap about the platform at the start.
